f forkavala Beta v1.0.0

Put what you built where people can find it. Not where it gets lost.

forkavala is where people describe what they need in plain words and get matched to something that already does it. If you have made a small useful thing, this is somewhere real people looking for exactly that will find it.

Why publish here

Three things this gets you.

People use it here

No download and no setup, so people actually try it. You host nothing and pay for nothing.

People say what they want changed

Anyone using your solution can ask for a change in their own words. We read every one and pass it on to you.

It stays yours

You pick the licence. Nothing is changed without your say-so, and you can take it down whenever you like.

How it works

What actually happens when you publish.

  1. Send one .zip. No README, no setup file to write. forkavala reads your files and writes the listing for you.
  2. It gets checked and given a page. If it runs in a browser on its own, people use it right there, one click, no install. If it needs a server, it still gets a real page people can find and download from.
  3. People find it by describing what they need. Nobody searches for your solution by its name, and nobody is asked what it was built with. They describe the outcome they want, and discovery matches it to what you made.

Where this is going

Help decide what forkavala builds for builders next.

2 things forkavala could become for people publishing here. Nothing here is promised and nothing has a date.

TODAYCOULD BE

Take someone else's solution and make your own version

Start from something that nearly fits, change the parts that do not, and keep your own copy. The person who made the original stays credited.

Drag the card right for yes and left for no, or use the buttons. The arrow keys work too.

Be told when publishing opens up

Join the list

Publishing is open to only a handful of people today, because nothing yet checks an upload for anything harmful. You would hear when that changes.

Your address is stored so we can send you that, and nothing else. It is never sold, never passed to anyone, and never linked to what you do on the site. It is kept until you take yourself off, or until we stop sending the thing you asked for. Change your mind at any time: .
